Ihor Bychkivskyywasborn in thehistorical city ofLviv. Since 2000, he has beenliving in Prague, where he has devoted his free time to paintingsince 2007. His inspirationarisesfrom a widerangeofsubjects—landscapes, flowers, animals, humanfigures, stilllifes, and abstractcompositions.
Although he does not alignhimselfwith any specificartisticmovement, his style isclosest to newimpressionism. He paintsprimarilywithoilusing a paletteknife, creatingartworks full ofrichtextures, dynamiccolorpalettes, and emotionalclarity.

He has beenexhibitingregularlysince 2008, with more thantwelvesolo and groupexhibitions. Since 2014, he has been a memberofthe Free AssociationofArtistsofSouth Bohemia, and since 2018 also part ofaninternationalartists’ group in Maribor, Slovenia, participatingannually in a European Union–supportedplein air symposium.
In 2014, he receivedtheGalleryAwardatArtFest České Budějovice, and in 2021 and 2024 he placedamongthe top artistsat Open ArtFest in competitionwith more than 180 exhibitors.
His artworks are part ofprivatecollectionsacrossthe globe, includingthe Czech Republic, Ukraine, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, France, Russia, the USA, and Singapore.
